It’s some big, big, big, big news: WeWork Labs San Francisco

I’m dizzyingly happy to announce big things: pre-incubator and NYC startup stomping grounds WeWork Labs is expanding to San Francisco under my and my colleagues Seth Blank and Dave Nugent‘s direction and curation. We’re extremely excited to build this community of early stage startups, tech peeps, and associated magic makers including designers, biz dev folks, engineers, investors, marketers, and more. Our goal is to connect the best and brightest in tech and help them accelerate their businesses.

In addition to offering entrepreneurs a great space to build their own products, our overarching goal is to foster collaboration among intelligent, creative and driven individuals who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to connect. We believe that by creating an environment like this, innovative new technologies, products and services will be born.

—WeWork Labs mission statement

Located at 156 Second Street in the startup hub of SOMA, this brand-spanding-new space will double as an entrepreneur residency and killer tech event venue. As curators, Seth, Dave and I will carefully select startups and entrepreneurs that apply as well as choose and help produce which events go on in the space (such as SF Nightowls, for one.)

Founded by our good friends Jesse Middleton and Matt Shampine, WeWork Labs is backed by WeWork, which owns and operates the building Labs lives in. Huge thanks to WeWork founders Adam Neumann and Miguel McKelvey!

Come join us by applying today on the WeWork Labs website. Be sure to select SF as your city.

Update: Here are the first few shots of the first floor.
